As a rule, we don't list child actors (unless their parents or agents make a special request), but we reckon many of the uber-talented young actor-musicians from SCHOOL OF ROCK will become professional adult #StageFaves in future. Auditions are coming up from 25 March for new classmates who'll get to hashtag #ImInTheBand...
Open auditions will take place on Saturday 25 March in Cardiff, Tuesday 23 and Thursday 25 May in London, Saturday 10 June in Sheffield, Saturday 15 July in Birmingham, Saturday 23 September in Liverpool and Monday 20 and Wednesday 22 November in London.
To register interest, hopefuls should visit www.schoolofrockthemusical.co.uk/opencall. Further information is available from Jessica Ronane Casting on rock@jessicaronane.com.
With booking now extended until January 2018, the show features music from the hit 2003 film, as well as new material written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, plus a book by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes.
The West End production of SCHOOL OF ROCK at the New London Theatre starring TV comedy star David Fynn as ‘Dewey Finn’, the wannabe rocker turned teacher originally played by Jack Black in the film, was similarly well-received when it opened in London in November.
