It was clear to see that musical theatre dominated the 2017 Critics Circle Awards. The ceremony was live-streamed and all of the speeches are still online. We've rounded up all of the winners related to Musical Theatre so you can see what it was like to be there in the room where it happened...
The glorious Sheila Atim took home the award for Most Promising Newcomer for her role in GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY. Watch her full speech on the Critics Circle Awards Facebook Page.
She shares the honour with joint-winner John McCrea for his leading role in EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE...
Next up was a big one. HAMILTON picked up its first major award since opening in the est End at the end of 2017. Jamael Westman spoke on behalf of the cast as they celebrated their first win (First of many we're sure!).
The National Theatre's hugely successful (and expensive!) production of FOLLIES took home two awards. Vicki Mortimer won Best Design and Dominic Cooke took home best director.
The National also took the opportunity to announce that FOLLIES will return!
It's true... #Follies will return.
