After adding extra performances, selling over 10,000 tickets and earning a clutch of five-star reviews at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, new British musical SIX transfers this week to London’s Arts Theatre, where producers have announced a three-week extension due to “overwhelming demand”.

The production starts its new London performances tomorrow (30 August 2018) and had been scheduled until 23 September. SIX will now continue until 14 October. There will also be a post-show Q&A with the cast and creatives, chaired by MyTheatreMates and StageFaves founder Terri Paddock, on Tuesday 11 September.

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII finally take the mic to tell their tale in Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ 75-minute high-octane pop concert musical powered by an all-female band. Songs include ‘Ex-Wives’, ‘Haus of Holbein’ and ‘Don’t Lose Ur Head’.

The hit of the Fringe

“Sassy, funny, sexy and funky, I predict a hit” - Ann Treneman, The Times

"It’s a blast! It has its own manifest cheeky British personality and a dynamism that matches the best the West End has to offer. Unlike its hapless subjects, it looks set to have a long and happy life.” - Dominic Cavendish, The Telegraph

“This pulsating musical spectacular was undoubtedly this year’s Hit of the Fringe” - Liam Rudden, Edinburgh Evening News

The cast, all reprising their roles direct from their Edinburgh run, are: Jarneia Richard-Noel (Catherine Of Aragon), Millie O’Connell (Anne Boleyn), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Alexia McIntosh (Anna Of Cleves), Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr), along with Grace Mouat (swing/dance captain).

SIX is directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse, musical supervision by Joe Beighton and orchestrations by Tom Curran. These new London dates follow SIX‘s sell-out showcase performances at the Arts Theatre last December/January and a short regional tour.

SIX runs at the Arts Theatre, London from 30 August to 14 October 2018. Tickets are priced £6-£39.50. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
