RADIO TIMES – which was due to follow the critically acclaimed Titanic as the second offering in director Thom Southerland and producer Danielle Tarento’s season of musicals at Charing Cross Theatre – has been postponed. RADIO TIMES, directed by Ben Woolf, had been scheduled to run from 20 August to 1 October (press night: 26 August). Theatregoers who had already booked for Radio Times can arrange refunds through their ticket supplier.
In a statement given to My Theatre Mates, the producers said:
“Sadly, due to artist non-availability, we are unable to present the production on the dates originally planned. We hope to present the production at a later date.”
Further ahead, the season continues as scheduled with the revival of Ragtime (8 October-26 November) and the European premiere of Death Takes a Holiday (3 December-21 January).
RADIO TIMES is set in the heart of London’s Blitz-torn West End, where the cast of BBC’s light-entertainment radio show, Variety Bandwagon are doing their bit for the war effort.
