They've already got a host of live venues in the capital, but restaurant chain Pizza Express have announced they'll be opening another new live entertainment venue at its newly designed restaurant in London’s High Holborn at the end of August. There are already some big names on the line-up and judgting by those first announcements it's going to be a flagship venue for the pizza chain...
The intimate space in the basement will feature a wide range of music, cabaret, comedy, and ‘audience with’ Q&A sessions.
Designed to allow the audience to get close to some of the biggest names in entertainment, Pizza Express Live Holborn will operate seven nights a week.
West End favourites including Maria Friedman, Madalena Alberto and Anna-Jane Casey, together with the casts of LES MISERABLES, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and WICKED, are among the big names already set to appear.
The comedy line-up includes Rory Bremner, Omid Djalili, Harry Hill and Johnny Vegas, with a wide variety of musicians including Tom Browne, The Christians, Steve Harley and Mica Paris due to perform.
Four ‘audience with’ events are also already in the schedule featuring musician Goldie, Monty Python star turned world traveller Michael Palin, comedian and actor Sanjeev Bhaskar and former England footballer turned pundit Paul Merson.
Pizza Express Live Holborn is due to be launched by pop band Morcheeba on Wednesday 30 August and Keane’s Tom Chaplin performs his own solo work on Friday 1 September.
