The UK premiere production of Rob Rokicki's Monstersongs runs at London's The Other Palace for two performances only, on 5 and 6 November 2018, with a cast including Evening Standard award-winning West End star Tyrone Huntley.
Written by Rob Rokicki, the composer of the critically acclaimed Drama Desk and Lortel Nominated The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (book Joe Tracz), and developed in conjunction with award-winning illustrator David O'Neill, Monstersongs is also a beautiful graphic novel - artwork from the book is project during the live show, enhancing the audience's experience.
The world premiere recording of Monstersongs was released by Broadway Records and features Broadway stars Megan Hilty (Smash), Jelani Alladin (Frozen) and Julia Murney (Wicked). The stage show was an official selection of the National Alliance of Musical Theatre's (NAMT) 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals in New York this month.
In addition to Tyrone Huntley, the London cast features George Damms, Amanda Flynn, Cleopatra Higgins, Bradley Riches and Sinéad Wall.
The concert at The Other Palace also features a five-minute Virtual Reality experience of the song "Footprints" from
