As THE GRINNING MAN officially receives its West End premiere tonight (18 December 2017), let's catch up on celebrities recording their own signature takes on songs from the show... After the releases earlier this month of Alexander Armstrong, Louise Dearman and Harry Enfield's efforts, it's now the turn of Kelsey Grammer, Matt Lucas and Hannah Waddingham to put their own spins on this most gothic of new musicals...
Taking a little breather from his London musical theatre debut in Big Fish, Kelsey Grammer takes on the song "Stars in the Sky" and duetting on the stunning "I Have Never Seen A Face" is comedian and actor Matt Lucas and the musical theatre legend that is Hannah Waddingham.
THE GRINNING MAN cast is led by Louis Maskell, in the title role of Grinpayne, and Julian Bleach, who plays Barkilphedro, a vengeful clown with a heart of lead. It has a book by Carl Grose, direction by Bristol Old Vic artistic director Tom Morris, design by Jon Bausor and puppetry by Gyre & Gimble.
