Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O'Bree at the European premiere of UNEXPECTED JOY, headlining this year's From Page to Stage festival of new musicals at London's Southwark Playhouse. In terms of column inches and broadcast time, SIX THE MUSICAL reigned supreme at Edinburgh Fringe, where it finished its sold-out, extra-dates-added run at the Udderbelly today (27 August 2018). The show's hard-working PR Kevin Wilson was keeping track of the show's frenzied festival coverage throughout. Going to the theatre is an experience enjoyed and cherished by many families, especially during the festive season. However, like many other recreational activities, theatres and shows often fail to be wholly inclusive of disabled people. Although the accessibility of venues has now begun to increase, the content and suitability of productions for those with specific impairments continue to exclude disabled people from enjoying these shows for themselves.
