Also taking part in this episode of Road to the Oliviers, hosted by CEO of SOLT and UK Theatre and producer of the Oliviers Julian Bird, was Elaine Paige who reminisced about what it was like to win an Olivier Award for Evita in 1978 (although they were then named the SWET Awards after the Society of West End Theatre) and how she sang ‘Rainbow High’ during the ceremony.
Playwright Jessica Swale and critic Lyn Gardner also discussed the nominations for Best New Play and Best New Musical.
Why not have a watch before you make your final predictions. No more sleeps to go now!
