It's been an exciting few months for the cast and creatives of new musical BROKEN WINGS. With an exciting debut run underway at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, the buzz is getting louder every day, but they've been up to all sorts in the run-up, including this stop-off at the British Lebanese Association's 2018 Gala Dinner where Nadim Naaman and Rob Houchen performed for Salma Hayek herself!
There's a brand new musical in town! BROKEN WINGS, co-written by StageFaves superstar Nadim Naaman, plays a strictly limited number of semi-staged shows this week at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End. Faves founder Terri Paddock got to ask the cast and creatives some questions recently during the rehearsal period...
Another Wednesday, another of our favourite HAMILTON videos! A couple of #HamiltonHumpDay's ago we shared the "Hamilton Polka", put together by the inimitable Weird Al Yankovic. With Club Tropicana the musical soon to tour the UK, and an ex-Dreamgirls cast member Samira Mighty starring on the ITV2 show, it seems that Love Island and the theatre world are being inescapably drawn together.
Like the plot of, well, a musical! With around a week to go before the first semi-staged run of BROKEN WINGS at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, ensemble member Nikita Johal stepped into the female lead role of Selma after Hiba Elchikhe had to drop out for personal reasons. But Nikita is a leading lady in her own right, having already starred in a recent production of SPRING AWAKENING...

Did Les Misérables make you miserable? Or did it inspire you? When Sarah Whitfield was a teenager, her dad frequently embarrassed her with his love of the musical above all others. So, after he was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, she set out to find out why the show meant so much to him and to its worldwide following. Here are some of the responses she received…

It's hard to argue that RENT isn't one of the most important pieces of Musical Theatre ever! But what about the man behind the masterpiece and what about his other work? While TICK, TICK...BOOM! has achieved moderate success, not a huge amount is known about the late Jonathan Larson's career beyond these two shows. Now, with the release of "Boho Days" this October, that's all about to change...

Wicked, the hit musical, tells the story of what happened before Dorothy dropped into Oz. It opened in London’s West End in September 2006 and has been enthralling audiences ever since with gravity-defying moments of theatre magic… BUT GUESS WHAT?! You definitely missed some hidden eggs inside this magical land, all the way from the Badlands to Munchkinland… Here are some references that link the two tales together.
We're super jealous that Broadway gets the awesome stage version of FROZEN but we don't and we definitely hope it'll be heading our way soon! Until it does though, we have to make do with the soundtrack and any video footage that comes our way. Luckily, the cast have been on TV a fair amount performing our fave songs. We Came across this performance of "For The First Time In Forever" on Good Morning America this May...
There's no denying HAMILTON has excited audiences this side of the Atlantic just as much as back home on Broadway. Our original West End Hamilton and Burr Jamael Westman and Giles Terera sat down to chat about what makes the show so special, the buzz of excitement they get from the audience and little moments they're still discovering months into the run...

We haven't stopped talking about COME FROM AWAY since it was announced that the show will be coming to the UK in early 2019 so it just felt right to choose a song of the week from this fab show! "Me and the Sky" tells the fantastic (and true!) tale of Beverley Bass, who led the first all-female crew in the history of commercial jet aviation. Performed here by Jenn Colella, marvel at the awesomeness of one woman, sung in the awesome voice of another...

Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Holly Mallett boarding The Barn Theatre bus for a trip to Cirencester and Michael Strassen's brand-new production of Jim Carwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Which cast members did she grab for selfies? And, most critically, what did Holly's mum think of the show?!
Is this his most ambitious one yet? James Corden returned to his native England to celebrate the classics of Andrew Lloyd Webber! And yes, he did make an appearance. Crosswalk Musical is a hilarious segment which takes famous musical theatre shows and condenses them into sections that last the time it takes to cross a road. There was an abundance of cats, a handful of fired children and a "cornucopia" of Lloyd Webber standards...
