The Panic! At the Disco frontman has always been theatrical but he's finally getting a chance to tread the boards of Broadway in KINKY BOOTS. Brendon Urie makes his debut tomorrow as Charlie Price in the show that's been running in New York since 2013. HEATHERS THE MUSICAL opens the first Work in Progress series at The Other Palace later this month and Charlotte Wakefield will lead the cast alongside Jamie Muscato and Liam Doyle. The classic 80's teen movie is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High. This work-in-progress adaptation looks set to be a hit, as do the other shows set to follow...

West-End and touring superstar Charlotte Wakefield has been cast in the national tour of the Watermill Theatre’s acclaimed production of CRAZY FOR YOU which opens at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth on 17 August 2017. Charlotte, who will play Polly, joins Tom Chambers as Bobby’ and Caroline Flack as Irene. We're going CRAZY for this casting...

Last night, THE COLOR PURPLE returned to the London stage with a concert at Cadogan Hall. The cast was filled with loads of #StageFaves, featurning Marisha Wallace, Rachel John, Wendy Mae Brown, Tyrone Huntley, Cavin Cornwall, Hugh Maynard, Seyi Omooba, T'Shan Williams, Bernadette Bangura, Rochelle Jackman and Krishana Parker. It was staged to raised funds for The British Theatre Academy, a unique performing arts programme that has inspired and nurtured the talent of thousands of young performers over the past 30 years. Jonathan Larson is most famous for writing the groundbreaking 90's musical RENT, but diehard fans will know his autobiographical monologue TICK, TICK...BOOM! which was posthumously turned into a 3-hander and is playing at the Park Theatre this month. Bronagh Lagan, the show's director, shared some thoughts on the show and the company behind this production.

London West End Calling! A new feel-good musical is set to open in the capital’s West End in 2018 featuring some of punk’s biggest hits by The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Damned and more. The show is funded by the world’s biggest record label, Universal Music and will be the first time punk hits have become a West End musical...with opera singers! This unique and original show will be cast via open auditions and is sure to be a mosh-worthy success!

It's time to flex those muscles and don your rip-off trousers because West End Bares is back this October for another night of debauchery at the Novello Theatre. This autumn your favourite West End stars are back, oiling themselves up and shakin' some booty for charity and you can see it all with your very eyes! West End Bares 8, in aid of the Make A Difference Trust, will take place on Sunday October 29 to The Novello Theatre at 7pm and 9.30pm. So get ready for a night of hunky men and gorgeous women. We ABS-olutely can't wait!

After a series of hush hush recording sessions, it was announced today that the cast recording for THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS is on its way and will be released on June 16. With a fantastic cast including the likes of Denise Welch, Simon Lipkin and Rufus Hound, this new Stiles & Drewe recording looks set to be a fantastic romp through the classic story. StageFaves were invited to sit in on a recording session in Angel and if what we heard is anything to go by, it's going to be high-octane, hysterical and full of fun!

Last month Andy Karl won the top prize at the #OlivierAwards for his fantastic portrayal of Phil Connors in Tim Minchin's musical GROUNDHOG DAY. After taking the show across the pond to Broadway, he's now nominated for a Tony Award too! Tom Holland may well be on his way to Hollywood heartthrob status as he takes on the lead role of Peter Parker in the new Spiderman film which will be released this summer, but musical theatre fans have loved him since he took on the role of Michael in BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL way back in 2008. Tom recently appeared on the American show Lip Sync Battle and used his screen time to remind us why he became a star in the first place with a toe-tapping intro "Singin' In The Rain" which quickly morphed into a rocking rendition of "Umbrella" which he performed...dressed as Rianna!
