Muted
A BRAND NEW BRITISH MUSICAL at The Bunker, London's newest Off-West End theatre, presented by Interval Productions, the team behind multi-award-nominated musicals STREETS, ANOTHER WAY and EQUALLY
"The British RENT" - Mark Shenton
"Stunning" - Stephen Fry
MUTED tells the story of exceptional young musician Michael Brookman, whose band was on the brink of stardom until his mother is suddenly killed in a hit and run accident. Since then he hasn’t uttered a word.
Three years on and Michael's living largely in the past. His frustrated uncle and carer is leaving the country, and his ex-girlfriend is in a relationship with his ex-bandmate, Jake. Just when cutting all ties seems inevitable, a record label suddenly offer Jake and the band another shot at the big time. But there's one catch: they want Michael back as their frontman.
Edgy, fast paced, sexy and raw. Muted, is a story about grief, guilt, self-discovery, forgiveness, and that thing we just can’t do without; love.
MUTED plays at The Bunker Theatre from 7 December 2016 - 7 January 2017
