Billy Elliot The Musical is based on the 2000 British film Billy Elliot and has been adapted by the same creative team, led by writer Lee Hall (book and lyrics) and director Stephen Daldry. The musical has an original score by Elton John, with songs including 'The Stars Look Down', 'Solidarity' 'Merry Christmas, Maggie Thatcher' and 'Electricity.'
