Tam Mutu

Tam is originally from Hastings, East Sussex and is of Turkish and Italian descent. After leaving the coast, Tam went on to study at the Guildford School of Acting where he graduated with a 1st Class BA Hons degree.

Tam has worked in theatre, television, film and radio and is currently in New York City after making his Broadway debut as the lead in Dr Zhivago, for which he was nominated for a Distinguished Performance Award at the 81st Annual Drama League Awards. 

Tam was last in the UK in Donmar Warehouse's Olivier Award-winning City of Angels, which took home the 2015 award for Best Musical Revival. He has also been nominated for a 2015 Broadway World UK award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a New Musical for his acclaimed performance as Stone. 

Tam also became a firm fan favourite for his performance as Javert in Les Misérables, for which he won two prestigious awards. The fans twice voted Tam as their winner as he picked up the Broadway World West End 2013 award for Best Performance in a Long-Running Musical, and won the West End Frame 2014 Award for Best Performance of a Song, with 'Stars'.
