Daughter of the 1940's film star Linden Travers, Susan followed in her mother's footsteps and trained as an actress at RADA. Her musical theatre credits include: the European premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein's ALLEGRO at the Southwark Playhouse.
One of Susan's first jobs was at the Oxford Playhouse starring alongside Dirk Bogarde in the television play 'Jezabel', a time when TV plays were transmitted live!
Having been offered a seven year contract in Hollywood with 20th Century Fox Susan decided to stay in England and married the celebrated photographer Cornel Lucas. Susan then went on to appear in many Feature Films including 'Frenzy' directed by Alfred Hitchcock (Universal Pictures), 'Snake Woman', 'Sons and Lovers', 'The Statue' and 'Peeping Tom'.
On Television credits include starring alongside Sir Roger Moore in 'The Saint' (ITV), 'Van der Valk' (ITV), 'The Avengers' (Thames Television), 'Crossroads' (ITV), ' Roads to Freedom' (BBC) and was a guest on the 1970's celebrity game show 'Call My Bluff' (BBC).
In the Theatre Susan has performed in the Vanessa Redgrave Season in 'On The Road to Jerusalem' playing the role of Lisa, Lady Bracknell in 'The Importance of Being Earnest' (open air), Melissa Franke in 'State Fair' (Trafalgar Studios), The Elder Miss Slingsby in 'Country of the Blind Gate' (Gate Theatre), Mrs Malaprop in 'The Rivals' (Drayton Court Theatre) and most recently in 'Daisy Pulls it Off' (Upstairs at the Gatehouse).
