Sheila Hancock's musical theatre creditcs include Grey Gardens, Sister Act, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd and Annie. She won the 2007 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role for her performance as Fraulein Schneider in Cabarat, and was nominated in the same category in 2010 for Sister Act.
Since making her West End debut in 1958, Hancock has also appeared in myriad plays. For her prolific screen work, she received a 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Women in Film and Television Awards. She was made an OBE in 1974 and a CBE in 2011 for services to drama.
