Seiriol (pronounced SAY-ree-oll) grew up on Anglesey. Anglesey is the little island on top of Wales which was the site of the final standoff where the Celtic druids repelled the weight of the invading Roman army for a surprisingly long time using only the power of dance (true fact), and it is also the place where you get the ferry to Dublin. There is also now a Waitrose.
With that druidic power coursing through his veins like something out of a Japanese video game, Seiriol set out at the young age of several years ago to do musical theatre with the same sass and chutzpa as those wayback woad-splashed Celts.
He trained with Thomas Prattki at LISPA, and has since forged a career writing, composing and performing with companies like Punchdrunk,You Need Me, and Temper Temper. "Mess", which he created with Caroline Horton & Co, premiered in 2012, winning awards including The Stage Award for Acting Excellence and an Argus Angel.
He is currently working with Ice & Fire and Boundless Theatre (nee Company of Angels) on "Scroungers", a barnstorming new musical set in the weird labyrinth-world of Job Centres and the mysterious concept of Positivity Training. He is also working with Hattie Naylor on a sci-fi sitcom set in a parallel universe where men have been deemed unnecessary slash damaging to the future of the species.
