Follow on twitter? www.twitter.com/robbiewhite This is an improvised ballad version of the brilliant Hoobastank song 'The Reason' it was added last minute (last second) as we had a hole in the set list and needed a filler. It's pretty self indulgent, as by this point in the evening I was in fact, quite drunk, and apparently I get like that :) I also lose my shit laughing in the middle which again I would like to blame on alcohol, and maybe nerves... I coulda cut it out, but I feel it adds an extra dimension to the performance! Baaaa ha ha ha I also stole the cheat for the high vowel sound he does on the CD because I have grown to like it! Hope you enjoy. Robbie

This is a short song that I wrote and performed for my college graduation. The head students were nice enough to ask me to write something and play it at the meal after the official ceremony, and this is that song. For those who are not laineys, or who are not In my year some of the jokes may fly right by you... but I assure you they are funny(ish) if you were there. But still listen for the generic bits in between. Enjoy! **LYRICS** (ish) some were adlibbed Remain, the best of friends. Three years ago We were flung together And tho the years have flown The memories stay for ever And once upon a time On a day back in september When we were young and shy I can still remember Being scared as hell sitting in studio one yes it was scary then but i miss it now that its gone And I bid you a fond farewell As we ride into the sunset We leave with stories to tell Of three years that we wont forget And the bitching and the tears just made up the whole three years And tho our time here ends we leave, the best of friends.
