(x2) We should be running for the door where once was safe is safe no more. This house has seen it's share of war now burning embers fill the halls If what you own is what you're worth we're skin and bone amongst scorched earth. But if what you've seen is who you are.... we're fire, fury, hands n hearts Oh this house is burning, Yeah this house is burning, Oh this house is burning, Yeah this house is burning down, down, down... this house is burning down, down, (woah-oh?!). (x2) And I can't see you through the smoke I can't breathe through this I can't see you through the (x2) I can't see you through the smoke (x2) I can't breathe through this (x2) I can't see you through the smoke And my heart burns through beats but my lungs keep perfect time. And I keep fighting to reach you but the smoke it blinds my eyes And I can't see you through the,,, (x2) Oh this house is burning, Yeah this house is burning, Oh this house is burning, Yeah this house is burning down, down, down... this house is burning down, down, (woah-oh?!). A lovely polite fan messaged me saying she would be at the MoveIt dance convention for my class and would like to see my original SYTYCD audition dance. So here it is, a little updated, a little bit improvised and very imperfect. Let me know what you think, I hope you enjoy it :)
Heya, this is a really early version of the very first solo I choreographed for the SO you think you can dance process. A lot changed from this version, and there are still a load of things I would have done differently, but it did set me of on an amazing journey so I thought I'd share it with you!

Follow on twitter? www.twitter.com/robbiewhite This is an improvised ballad version of the brilliant Hoobastank song 'The Reason' it was added last minute (last second) as we had a hole in the set list and needed a filler. It's pretty self indulgent, as by this point in the evening I was in fact, quite drunk, and apparently I get like that :) I also lose my shit laughing in the middle which again I would like to blame on alcohol, and maybe nerves... I coulda cut it out, but I feel it adds an extra dimension to the performance! Baaaa ha ha ha I also stole the cheat for the high vowel sound he does on the CD because I have grown to like it! Hope you enjoy. Robbie
Right, so the dance (original version here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S0BlK97ntY ) was put into our end of year show, and the following video was taken on the last night of said show.
This is a short song that I wrote and performed for my college graduation. The head students were nice enough to ask me to write something and play it at the meal after the official ceremony, and this is that song. For those who are not laineys, or who are not In my year some of the jokes may fly right by you... but I assure you they are funny(ish) if you were there. But still listen for the generic bits in between. Enjoy! **LYRICS** (ish) some were adlibbed Remain, the best of friends. Three years ago We were flung together And tho the years have flown The memories stay for ever And once upon a time On a day back in september When we were young and shy I can still remember Being scared as hell sitting in studio one yes it was scary then but i miss it now that its gone And I bid you a fond farewell As we ride into the sunset We leave with stories to tell Of three years that we wont forget And the bitching and the tears just made up the whole three years And tho our time here ends we leave, the best of friends. (From here on in i just wanted to share some of the things that I would remember from three years, hopefully you'll remember them too) UPBEAT REMEMBER Arriving 20 seconds late As the rain begins to pour And hearing from out side miss venn yelling "Jai, lock that door" REMEMBER All the Lainey rumors overheard in conversation Didn't some one tell me once that kerry ellis would be at graduation I hate to bring it up again Lets not forget I don't want it now, I want it now... Then ((Big build) I really really really want some champ ZORBA! (Play zorba, little shop, lucky stiff) Zorba, life after high school and the LTA hoddies which everybody has Ben Harrold Matt Checketts Graduation, cross dressing and all that jazz ((Get back to tempo 1)) Lately I been thinking I don't know if Im right But college was the dress rehearsal and tommorrow is the opening night And tho life is pulling us away my friends and its time for us to part Lets remember this isn't the end This is only the start You will stay forever in my heart As the sky stays with the sea As the sun looks out on the moon You will remain with me And I bid you a fond farewell As we ride into the sunset We leave with stories to tell Of three years that we wont forget And the bitching and the tears just made up the whole three years And tho our time here ends (Instrumental) (Way slower 3/4?) And I bid you a fond farewell As we ride into the sunset We leave with stories to tell Of three years that we wont forget (Instrumental) (Instrumental) And tho our time here ends we remain... the best of friends
