Peter was an original cast member in both Les Miserables in 1985 and Miss Saigon (playing John) in 1989, which he followed by taking the title role in The Phantom of the Opera (1991). His other musical theatre credits over the years have included Man of La Mancha, Working, Oklahoma!, The Secret Garden, Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Imagine This, A Christmas Carol, Love Story, Sweeney Todd, The Pajama Game, Guys and Dolls, City of Angels and Oliver!. He's also well known from his role in TV comedy Birds of a Feather.
