Hi everyone, I’m sorry I’ve not been posting as much as I said I would.. People have been asking why I stopped and the truth is mentally I was lost. I was never satisfied with the ones I did record and was afraid of getting judged negatively. On top of that I kept questioning myself ‘what am I doing with my life?’ I even questioned my passion. This song, for me, has almost saved me each time I sing it. It’s more than just singing, it’s the connection with the lyrics and the instruments and with the colour. This song has been with me since last year in college, I was having a similar experience, if not darker, but I felt safe singing this song. I didn’t need to be perfect to sing it, I didn’t need to hit all the high notes, we even took the key down! I was embarrassed at first but when I heard it, the colour of the music changed and I transformed. I finally found my purpose in the song. This version of ‘I’m Here’ is raw and it’s colourful and it’s me. I am full of imperfections and I’m slowly learning to embrace them. I didn’t pick the best vocal video, I picked the one that will re-inspire me to keep going if I ever feel lost again .. which will happen. I hope you connect and enjoy this song as much as I do (even if it isn’t me singing it).

This song was a suggestion from my friend Amanda, I love singing Beyoncé, she's my favourite and I hope I sang her song well. Again it's still a working progress but I have to start somewhere :)
