Training: Dorset-born soprano Lizzie Holmes graduated in 2014 from the Royal College of Music (Masters in vocal performance, distinction). Prior to this she gained a BA (Hons) in English literature at Warwick University. She continues to train with Dinah Harris and Llyndall Trotman.
Theatre: The Phantom of the Opera as Madame Firmin/1st cover Madame Giry (Her Majesty's); Monica in By the Bog of Cats (Best Supporting Actor, National Student Drama Festival), Cassie in A Chorus Line (ANU, Australia), Florence in Journeying Boys (Iain Burnside, Britten Theatre) and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Amy in Company and Anita in West Side Story(Warwick Arts Centre). For devised theatre company Curious Directive: Sue in Return to the Silence (Shunt Vaults, London) and Anna Bågenholm in Your Last Breath (Edinburgh Fringe First Award, UK tour).
Opera: Poppea in The Coronation of Poppea (Ryedale and Grimeborn Festivals), Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro (Bloomsbury Festival), La Bergère in L’enfant et les Sortilèges (RCM International Opera School), Pamina in The Magic Flute and Gretel in Hansel & Gretel (Warwick Arts Centre), ensemble/cover Young Tree in Paul Bunyan (Sadler’s Wells Peacock, British Youth Opera), Ida in The Serpentine (RCM/Tête à Tête), cover Elsie in The Yeoman of the Guard (Portsmouth Guildhall) and chorus in Orpheus (Classical Opera, London Handel Festival).
Lizzie is thrilled to be making her West End debut in The Phantom of the Opera.
