Laura England

Laura performed with NYMT (National Youth Music Theatre) at West End Live and in ‘Sweeney Todd’ at The Rose Theatre Kingston and Village Underground, Shoreditch. She trained in musical theatre at Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, and playing lead and featured roles in ‘The Fix’, ‘Witches of Eastwick’ and ‘Sunday in the Park with George’. Since graduating she has had roles across a variety of mediums within the industry, including voicing the lead in comedy podcast series ‘Pod To pluto’ and workshopping/ originating the role of ‘Jennifer’ in Bruntwood longlisted dark comedy ‘Mother F**k Up’ at the Leeds Playhouse. 

Laura performed most recently with 1950’s rock and roll trio ‘The Jivettes’ on a summer contract in Menorca and at the Empire Casino in Leicester Square upon her return. She is a talented jazz/retro era singer.

As a writer/ creative Laura wrote her own play ‘Marathon For You’, which was selected as part of The Hopemill’s Power House Plays and also for Scripts Aloud by Manchester ADP with performances at The Hope Mill Theatre Manchester and at The Kings Arms in Salford in 2017. The play was subsequently mounted with a professional cast, Directed by Laura herself and performed to a full house at The Carriageworks in Leeds in January 2018.

Laura can currently be seen multi-roling in popular comedy farce ‘Tied to The Vicarage’ at The Tabard Theatre in Chiswick Jan/Feb 2019.
