"A New Star Tonight" by Anderson & Petty at the Songwriters Union Concert, Union Theatre, London. Written in loving memory of my beautiful Nana who passed away in January 2012.
Singing "Beyond The Door" from The In-Between musical by Laura Tisdall at the Songwriters Union Concert. Bit of a dodgy start (taken a tad by surprise - didn't quite have time to catch my breath before it started!!!).
So my Nana would have been 81 today. A Year ago we were getting ready for her big party. How things can change. This is a song that was written by Barry Anderson and Mark Petty for me, as my own way of paying tribute to her, using some of my memories of our time together (which I am sure my brother, sister and cousins can relate to). I performed it for the first time at my cabaret last Sunday for my Mum. Forgive the 1 or 2 flat notes - it was late on in my rather big-sing set!
