Julie Clare (cast member) trained at Bristol Old Vic. She appeared in Summer Street, created the role of Liebling in the West End production Good Rockin’ Tonite; played Melanie in Arnold Wesker’s one woman show Letter To A Daughter directed by the author; Donna Lucia in Mr Cinders and Roxie in In The Midnight Hour. She is also a writer and produced The Busker Symphony for Channel 4. ‘Til Showstopper she would rather have stuck needles in her eyes than go on stage without a script – now she’s hooked!

This time last week I was coming down from the buzz of BEAM:2016. Today, as I was re-reading my notes and other people’s write-ups for this blog, I received news on casting for The Toxic Avenger, starring Mark Anderson (who I saw performing at Beam) and produced by Aria Entertainment’s Katy Lipson (one of the producers who had their portfolios showcased at Beam). So that seems pretty apt.
