Jonathan Andrew Hume

Jonathan is a skilled and versatile singer, actor and performer.

He was born in Oxford, England; trained at Bodens Studios, London and has experience of a wide spectrum of the Performing Arts and Media.

Jonathan's most prominent role is playing SIMBA in the West End production of The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, after returning from playing the role in the Singapore company at the Sands Theater in the landmark Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. His musical theatre credits include Come From Away (Phoenix).

Notably, he also excelled in the role of JUDAS in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at the Wyllyotts Theatre. Previous television work shows Jonathan appearing in shows such as: Hope & Glory, Eastenders, Crimewatch (all BBC), Anything’s Possible (Channel 5) and on a TV pilot, Living The Dream (Dream Chute Productions) also in films such as Decorating (New Slate Pictures), No Bluff and Filthy Habit (LFA).

Jonathan’s recording work has ranged from recording voiceovers and jingles for commercials, films and animations in the UK and the U.S. to soundtracks for the feature length movies, Amazing Grace (Momentum Pictures), Pride (Lionsgate) and 10,000 BC (Warner Bros).

Jonathan has also had the pleasure of performing at the Royal Variety Performance and the Lawrence Olivier Awards; Strictly Come Dancing and other notable live television and award shows.
