John originally hails from Glasgow and trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduating with a Masters in Musical Theatre in 2011
John’s theatre credits include, Rebel Leader & 1st cover Pop inWe Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre, West-End), Spider inJekyll & Hyde (Union Theatre, London) Josh in Elegies For Angels Punks & Raging Queens (Tron Theatre, Glasgow) Hamish/Superfly in Jack & The Beanstalk (Perth Theatre) & creating the role of John in the award winning Wasted Love(Edinburgh Fringe & Actors Church, London).
John is also a singer-songwriter currently working on his debut self-penned EP release, which you can check out on his youtube channel (youtube.com/mclarnonjohn)
John is absolutely thrilled to be part of the Original London cast of The Commitments and would like to dedicate his performance to his parents, sister, Ruthie and wee Gran Bet and also apologise in advance to all his friends,family & neighbours for the impending blaring soul music &newly discovered brash Irish accent.
