James is British actor of Irish heritage who trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and is based in London, married with two children. James is a returning Visiting Practitioner to Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance since 2015.
Throughout 2016 and 2017 James toured extensively throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland in Sonia Friedman's production of the multiple Olivier award winning West End musical Sunny Afternoon directed by Edward Hall and Katherine Hare, under the musical supervision of Elliott Ware and the musical direction of Barney Ashworth.
In 2014 James was nominated for Best Actor by Richmond-Upon-Thames Arts Council for his portrayal of Christy in Dermot Bolger's Irish play "From These Green Heights" directed by Linda Sirker.
In 1983 James appeared in the original musical production of Bugsy Malone at Her Majesty's Theatre in London directed by Mickey Dolenz alongside Catherine Zeta-Jone, Lee Ross and Steven Mackintosh.
