Hugo Chiarella is an Australian Writer/Actor/Singer whose theatre credits include: the Australian tour of Les Misérables from 2014 to 2016 and went on to play Grantaire in the international tour and in the West End. He has also toured Australia and New Zealand as Mendel in Fiddler on the Roof with Topol.
Television includes: Australian children’s series Magical Tales: Surprises.
Other work includes: Also an accomplished writer, Hugo wrote the book and lyrics for the musical DreamSong (Theatre Works, Arts Centre Melbourne), the lyrics for Guilty Pleasures (The Hayes Theatre, Chapel Off Chapel, Brisbane Powerhouse) and the book and lyrics for Evie May (currently in development with The Hayes Theatre and New Musicals Australia). Hugo is also a writer and performer with sketch comedy group I’m With Stupid (ABC iView, ABC 2, Funny or Die, YouTube). He is also a co-creator of the web-series As Actors – Manila.
