After winning an award for ‘Best Supporting Actress for Kent’, Gemma Arterton gained a full scholarship to RADA, graduating in 2007. In 2014, she made her musical debut in the stage version of Made In Dagenham (Adelphi Theatre) for which she was nominated for Best Actress In A Musical at the 2015 Olivier Awards.
The theatre credits include The Duchess of Malfi (Shakespeare’s Globe, Sam Wanamaker Theatre), Douglas Carter Beane’s Award-winning comedy The Little Dog Laughed (Garrick), Hilda Wangel in The Master Builder, Rosaline in Love Labour’s Lost (Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, directed by Dominic Dromgoole). Whilst at RADA Gemma took lead roles in productions such as An Ideal Husband, Titus Andronicus and The Beggar’s Opera.
