Fred Johanson

Fred Johanson is an English actor and musical theatre performer.

Theatre credits include: Aladdin (Prince Edward), Sunset Boulevard opposite Glenn Close (ENO, London Coliseum), Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar (National and European Tours, Lyceum Theatre, London, Gothenburg Operahouse and Gotalejon Stockholm), Javert in Les Miserables (Malmo Opera House and Copenhagen), Father in Children of Eden (Orebro Pastorat), Jack Favell inRebecca (Malmo Opera House), Peron in Evita (Malmo Opera House), the title role in The Alchemist (Opera Kristiansund), Max in Sunset Boulevard(Gothenburg Opera), Profetikus in Cats (Stockholm), Reverend Shaw in Footloose (Wallmans Theatre, Stockholm), Beast in Beauty and the Beast (Scandinavian Tour), Louis B. Fred has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts internationally including: Les Miserables outdoor concert with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Night of 1000 Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, the Dublin Proms with the RTE Concert Orchestra and The Royal Variety Show.

Fred is a composer/song-writer and has written his own material for both his solo albums as well as writing for various other artists including Frida (ABBA), Steve Balsamo, Meja and Jo O’Meara. He wrote the Number One hit single for the Australian ‘Popstars’, “Scandal’us” which topped the charts at No. 1 for three weeks and sold double platinum together with the follow-up album that sold platinum.
