Best known for his performances in Falsettos, School of Rock and Funny Girl, actor Joel Montague will take over the role of Ogie from Joe Sugg in the London production of Waitress, beginning on 2 December 2019.
It’s been five long years but the wait is over, the Olivier Award-winning production of City of Angels – directed by Josie Rourke – is heading to London’s Garrick Theatre in March 2020. The original creative team is back as are Hadley Fraser, Rosalie Craig and Rebecca Trehearn. Oh, and did we mention that Vanessa Williams will be making her West End debut?
Best known recently for her role in ITV’s Emmerdale, actress Sandra Marvin is the latest addition to the cast of West End musical Waitress, taking over as waitress Becky from original cast member Marisha Wallace. Her first performance at the Adelphi Theatre diner is on 17 October 2019.
With credits already including the UK and international tour of Mamma Mia! and Australian productions of Les Misérables and The Sound of Music, Tamlyn Henderson is not short of credentials when it comes to musical theatre. On 9 September 2019 he joins the West End cast of of Sara Bareilles’ musical Waitress in the role of Earl, taking over from Peter Hannah who has his final performance on 7 September. Let’s hope he likes pie!
