Anastacia McCleskey

Anastacia McCleskey is an artist and writer from Nashville, Tennessee, who has been sharing her gifts with the world since the age of ten.

She has been featured in the Broadway companies of Violet, The Book of Mormon, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hair, Tarzan, the first national tour ofHairspray, travelled across Asia with the New York Harlem Singers, and tons of local and regional theatre.

Anastacia debuted her one-woman show I Got Love at the Laurie Beechman Theater in 2007. She has played Radio City Music Hall, the Kennedy Center, Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, New York City Center, the York Theater, (Le) Poisson Rouge, Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, Highline Ballroom, and performed in Carnegie Hall Community Sings. Anastacia is the choreographer and plays the role of Izora Rhodes in the upcoming Broadway show Mighty Real – a Fabulous Sylvester Musical, which was nominated for an Off Broadway Alliance award in the category of Best New Musical 2014/15.

She is the co-writer and co-creator of an upcoming web series entitled#MYTWOBLACKFRIENDS (2016). Her voice can be heard on several albums and demos including Lyons & Pakchar’s #LOVE Live and the 2002 theme song for the Special Olympics, ‘Heart of a Lion’. She has sung back-up for Phil Collins, Martha Wash, Bette Midler (BBC documentary), Patti LaBelle, Mariah Carey and performed on The Today Show, The View, Good Morning America, The David Letterman Show, and the 2011 and 2013 Tony awards.
