He's Australian. (Home town Wahroonga NSW). Not American (even though his Brooklyn accent can be deceptive), British although he does do a wicked East End accent or Latino - the Garcia name comes from his father who is Columbian.
Whilst at Knox Grammar School he also attended the Capital Dance Studio in Sydney.
He began his career in musical theatre in Australia and then appeared in several London West End shows including Hot Shoe Shuffle, Grease, On the Town. and Saturday Night Fever. He is enviromentally aware , started to study to be a Chemical Biologist before taking up a full time dancing career and is into recycling in a big way. He also loves animals and one of his big heroes is David Attenborough.
In his SNF days he loved to dress down and owned some of the most incredibly awful pairs of trousers in the Northern hemisphere. He is very attached to his blue and red Funky Dog hat. See the SNF Stage door pictures for evidence of Mr Garcia's off stage dress sense.
His musical theatre credits include Kiss Me Kate, Wicked, Saturday Night Fever and Grease.

As part of our #FirstNightTakeover series, Perry O'Bree joins the Duchess of Cambridge, Morgan Freeman and other celebrities at the West End opening (on 4 April 2017) of Broadway dance extravaganza 42nd STREET. Who'd he get selfies and interviews with this time?! Video and live-tweeting here...
A major new musical based on the life and career of Frank Sinatra is in the works, care of the Ambassador Theatre Group, and aiming for a 2018 world premiere. But the big question on our mind - apart from when exactly and where it will run - is: which of your #StageFaves should play Ol' Blue Eyes? Any ideas?
