It perhaps doesn’t come as any surprise, but it’s still sad to hear to that West End LIVE 2020, planned for 20 and 21 June 2020, has been cancelled due to the recent guidance from the Government over COVID-19.
It’s normally a major highlight in the theatre calendar but the fallout of the coronavirus emergency has now extended to the Olivier Awards ceremony, planned for 5 April 2020 at the Royal Albert Hall, but now cancelled. The hope is alternative arrangements will be made to ‘properly honour and announce this year’s winners’.

Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O’Bree attending the gala night for Mamma Mia! The Party, the immersive theatrical and dining experience being staged at The O2 London. It was an epic evening with star after star saying hi on the ‘Blue Carpet’ including ABBA’s very own Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson as well as cast members Steph Parry, Joanna Monro, Fed Zanni, Julia Imbach and AJ Bentley. Get watching!

Just look at the fairy tale cast for the UK premiere of the Broadway version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, in concert at Cadogan Hall on 20 October. Joining Christine Allado’s Ella will be Jodie Jacobs, Dean John-Wilson, Cedric Neal, Dianne Pilkington, Zoe Rainey and Jac Yarrow. Will you be going to the ball?

Get your glass slippers ready. Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA is coming to London. The Broadway version of the screen-to-stage fairytale musical gets its UK premiere in a concert version, directed by Jonathan O'Boyle and accompanied by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, at Cadogan Hall for one night only on Sunday 20 October 2019.

Are you ready to squeeze into that Lycra and try on those platforms because the new immersive theatrical and dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party – at The O2 London – is getting near. Full casting details have now been announced, including at least a few performers who have appeared in the West End production (shout out to Steph Parry and Joanna Munro).

On Thursday 27 June, London’s West End showed an overwhelming display of support to the Mayor’s "London is Open" campaign. Over 30 theatres and shows collectively shared photos and videos on Twitter, encouraging visitors to come and experience the magic of London theatres. This year, 23 April wasn't just Shakespeare's birthday, it was also the #LondonMarathon! 40,000 brave runners took on the challenge of a lifetime and raised thousands of pounds for charity. Loads of #StageFaves took to the streets either to run or support their friends.
