Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O’Bree attending the opening of Pretty Woman The Musical at London’s Piccadilly Theatre. Perry lives the dream, enjoying every minute of this new addition to the West End, and chats to lead players Aimie Atkinson, Danny Mac, Rachael Wooding and Bob Harms. Oh, and did we mention, he was sitting next to Six The Musical’s Natalie May Paris?
It only takes a moment to check out the latest casting for the new West End production of Jerry Herman’s Hello, Dolly at the Adelphi Theatre, opening in August 2020. So welcome Clare Halse, Tyrone Huntley and Harry Hepple who join the previously announced players Imelda Staunton, Andy Nyman and Jenna Russell.

Everybody obviously did say ‘yeah’ when invited along to More2Screen’s cinema release of Kinky Boots The Musical because the screenings have so far brought in £1.2 million at the box office to date AND it was the No. 1 film on 4 February 2020. Don’t worry if you missed it either, there are still encore showings you catch up with.
Have we got news for you. Paul Merton will make his West End musical debut as Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray at the London Coliseum from 23 April to 30 August 2020, as full casting is announced. We can’t wait to see him strutting his stuff in the new production alongside his onstage wife, as played by Michael Ball who reprises his Olivier Award-winning role.

Acclaimed for his performance in Fiddler on the Roof, Andy Nyman is the latest member of the West End Hello, Dolly cast to be announced. He will star alongside Imelda Staunton in the title role and Jenna Russell as Irene Molloy in the show at the Adelphi Theatre, opening on 11 August 2020.
Rehearsals begin this week for Pretty Woman: The Musical, opening at London’s Piccadilly Theatre on 13 February 2020, so it’s the perfect time to share the news of full casting for the show. Aimie Atkinson and Danny Mac, playing the roles of Vivian and Edward, will be joined by Rachael Wooding, Bob Harms, Neil McDermott and Mark Holden. We have to go shopping now...
We want the fairy tale when Pretty Woman: The Musical opens for a 46-week season on 13 February 2020 and we now know that it will be Aimie Atkinson as Vivian and Danny Mac as Edward who will be bringing it to London’s Piccadilly Theatre.
So nice to see Imelda Staunton back where she belongs, on the London stage, and this time she’s playing one of the most iconic musical theatre roles ever written, Dolly Levi, in a new West End production of Hello, Dolly! opening at the Adelphi Theatre in August 2020. The staging, also starring Jenna Russell as Irene Molloy, will see Imelda reunited with Dominic Cooke who directed the recent critically-acclaimed revival of Follies at the National Theatre.

Casting for the West End production of Hairspray just got even more exciting as it was announced that Lizzie Bea & Marisha Wallace would be joining Michael Ball in the 2020 production at the London Coliseum.
‘Big new musical. Big. Huge’: Yes, it’s been confirmed, on the most romantic day of the calendar in 2020, much-anticipated Broadway show Pretty Woman: The Musical will begin previews at London’s Piccadilly Theatre, playing for a 46-week engagement. Now we can start speculating about whether Andy Karl and Samantha Barks will also make the journey.
