It's #HamiltonHumpDay so it's time for your weekly slice of HAMILTON joy to get you through to the weekend. This week, we're going back to a legendary moment when composer (and original Hamilton) Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped by the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and dropped some utterly awesome improv rap with the "Wheel Of Freestyle"...
In tough times, there's nothing like a bit of music to remind you that everything is going to be ok. The Broadway community came together to record a version of "We Are The World" to call for healing and unity in the world today and with a great message, a beautiful song and some of the best voices in the business we dare you not to get choked up!

Every once in while a truly unique, unlikely gem of a musical appears that reminds you why you love the form so much. After years of praying to the Musical Theatre Gods, the 2015 Tonu-Award winning FUN HOME has finally arrived in London and the hype is REAL. It's rare a musical receives such universally amazing reviews, but this one has...
That image of the cast high-kicking in a line has to be one of the most iconic in Musical Theatre, right? We couldn't have a Song Of The Week list without including this Marvin Hamlisch classic. SO get your sunglasses on because the amount of gold in this video is bordering on excessive! Our StageFaves Song Of The Week is "One" from A CHORUS LINE...
It's been a few weeks since the 2018 Tony Awards but new videos are still catching our eye, like this one! Hosts Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles pay homage to the hard working people on Broadway who have to survive 8 shows ever week! Even better, it's to the tune of Sia's Chandelier...
We thought it was going to be a close race for the title of Best Musical at the 2018 Tony Awards, but it turned out to be a total roast by THE BAND'S visit, a beautiful new musical about an Egyptian band that spends the night in a sleepy Israeli town. Fall in love with the show that stole the heart of Broadway and watch these clips and interviews about the show...
This week, the utterly fantastic FUN HOME plays its first performances at the Young Vic. We've been waiting for this day since the show won big at the Tony Awards back in 2015. Our song of the week is from those awards. It's "Ring of Keys" - the moment a young Alison Bechdel sees a butch woman for the first time...

On June 10 2018 the 72nd Tony Awards kicked off with a song from co-hosts Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It started sweet, but hilariously took a turn for the silly as they dedicated the opening to Tony nominees past and present...who never actually won an award! Watch the full, hilarious opening here...

On 9 June, the 2018 Tony Awards took place and in an undeniably epic turn of events, THE BANDS VISIT blew all competition away winning 10 Tony Awards! Yep - TEN!!! To celebrate such a significant victory for the only show in its category of Best Musical (which of course, it won) not to have been based on a popular movie or TV show, we decided our song of the week would be "Answer Me", sung live on TODAY...
The time has nearly come for the 2018 Tony Awards and everyone here at StageFaves is just SO EXCITED!!! We can barely contain ourselves, but in order to help us make it to the weekend and the official ceremony, we decided to put together clips from all of the 2018 Best Musical nominees. Who would you like to win..?
It's #HamiltonHumpDay! And this week we decided to choose one of our favourite ever #HamilDrop videos! Arianna Afsar, Shoba Narayan, Lexi Lawson, Rachelle Ann Go and Julia Harriman joined together to record the beautiful, spine-tingling "First Burn". Watch the video, here and rejoice in just how awesome HAMILTON truly is...
It's been a big year for TV and film adaptations on Broadway. Joining MEAN GIRLD leading the way at the 2018 Tony Awards with TWELVE nominations is SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS. Watch the cast performing "Hero Is My Middle Name" from the show, live on TODAY...
It is without a doubt one of the biggest shows ever written. HAMILTON feels like it's been around for decades but that's not actually the case. It all started in 2009, when writer Lin-Manuel Miranda took a risk and performed a version of what is now the opening of the show at the White House Poetry Jam. This #HamiltonHumpDay, take a look at the moment the worldwide phenomenon was born...
Idina Menzel made it one of the most iconic Disney songs ever. Demi Lovato made it rock out. Now it's Caissie Levy's turn to immortalise the tune for Broadway. Disney have now released the official music video for the Broadway version of Let It Go from FROZEN...
It's a big year for film adaptations on Broadway. With FROZEN wowing audiences already it's time for MEAN GIRLS to take centre stage. Tina Fey has adapted her hit film for the stage and the buzz is REAL! She stopped by The Tonight Show to chat to Jimmy Fallon and introduce a performance of "I'd Rather Be Me" sung by Barrett Wilbert who plays Janis in the show...
We don't know when it'll come to the UK (it's only just opened on Broadway!) but we already know that the new FROZEN stage musical is a success! With new songs joining old favourites from the film, the cast recording is, for now, the only chance us UK folk will get to experience the blockbuster show, so we thought we'd share a behind the scenes look at what went down in the studio as the fantastic cast and creative team immortalised the tracks forever...

It's been six months since the curtain came down and the banjos were played for the very last time but the memories of HALF A SIXPENCE are still strong. Guest blogger Rebecca Wallis reminisces about her favourite show and follows through on a promise to keep championing the many #StageFaves performers she discovered through it. Have you?

On Saturday 24 May 2018, students in America were joined by thousands of fellow citizens for the "March For Our Lives" rally in Washington DC. The protest, to end gun violence, has been supported by many famous names including performers in theatre. Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt came together during the rally to perform their duet "found tonight" live from Washington to support the students...
