From Monday 11 to Saturday 23 February 2019 MT Fest UK at The Other Palace will showcase emerging and established writers. The programme includes a Taster Menu series of eight new musicals alongside talks and concerts from some of the most celebrated industry figures currently working in musical theatre. Nathan Amzi saves the day as smash-hit musical Heathers has its official opening at the Theatre Royal Haymarket this week. His name is now on the Westerberg High register and will remain there until the end of the semester on 24 November.
That’s right, a new song has been written into Heathers The Musical ahead of its West End debut at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in September 2018, along with changes to the script too. A decade before they were winning Oscars for their work on THE GREATEST SHOWMAN and LA LA LAND and Tony Awards galore for the stunning DEAR EVAN HANSEN, the songwriting duo Pasek & Paul wrote a little song-cycle that went by the name EDGES. The theatre has decided to bring on Chris Harper (formerly with the National Theatre) as Director of Programming and announced that it will now programme plays in its main space as well as musical theatre, which is what the space is known for...
