It began on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 & now Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ ‘her-story’ has just opened in Sydney, has its Broadway debut in February, is currently touring the UK, and as celebrations begin for its first birthday at London’s Arts Theatre, the West End run has just been extended until 31 January 2021. It’s a musical theatre fairy tale like no other.
There will be a new Queen in town when Sophie Isaacs is crowned the next Katherine Howard in the West End production of Six The Musical at the Arts Theatre from 21 January 2020.
How appropriate that Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ rockin’ Royal Tudor musical Six is going to make history. Two years to the day the show was first seen as a student production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, it’s announced that the hit West End production will invade Broadway, officially opening at New York’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre on 12 March 2020. Toby Marlow, one of the writers of smash-hit West End musical Six, saved the day at the weekend when he donned high heels and leather hotpants to play the sixth Queen Catherine Parr. With just a few hours notice, the two performances initially threatened by cast illness went ahead.

It’s a special Royal announcement. Not only has the hit run of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ Six The Musical been extended by another six months to 5 July 2020 at London’s Arts Theatre, there are four new Queens standing by to ascend the throne(s).

After much-anticipation actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 today and it wasn’t long before the celebrations began for two West End musicals in particular.
