Madalena Alberto is a London-based actor and musical theatre performer. She trained in dance at EDAM in Lisbon, followed by a degree in Performing Arts at
Madalena's recent musical credits include On Your Feet (Curve Leicester, London Coliseum & National Tour), Aspects of Love (Southwark Playhouse) I Wish My Life Were Like A Musical, Jeff Wayne's THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (Dominion) and CATS (London Palladium). Madalena played Eva Peron in EVITA at the Dominion Theatre and UK Tour, and was recently seen in THE VOTE at the Donmar Warehouse, which aired live on More4. Previously she played the title role in PIAF, at Leicester Curve, at scheduled performances, and she played the role of Fantine in the highly acclaimed 25th Anniversary Tour production of LES MISERABLES, culminating in performances at the Barbican in London. She also took part in the O2 Arena concert of LES MISERABLES which was broadcast and subsequently released on DVD.
Madalena played the role of Lucy in the Morphic Graffiti production of JEKYLL AND HYDE, at the Union Theatre and starred in the workshop reading of THERESE RAQUIN, a new musical by Craig Adams at the Finborough Theatre. Other Theatre credits include Sonia in GODSPELL (Union Theatre); Sam in OVER THE THRESHOLD (Edinburgh Festival and Jermyn Street Theatre); understudy Luisa in the original West End production of ZORRO THE MUSICAL (Garrick Theatre); Camen Diaz in FAME (UK Tour); Hunyak in CHICAGO (Kuala Lumpur); Lucy in THREEPENNY OPERA (Teatro Aberto, Lisbon) and ALADDIN at the Old Vic.
Alongside her theatre career, Madalena is a songwriter and performs solo concerts regularly.
