Toby Marlow, one of the writers of smash-hit West End musical Six, saved the day at the weekend when he donned high heels and leather hotpants to play the sixth Queen Catherine Parr. With just a few hours notice, the two performances initially threatened by cast illness went ahead.

It’s a special Royal announcement. Not only has the hit run of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ Six The Musical been extended by another six months to 5 July 2020 at London’s Arts Theatre, there are four new Queens standing by to ascend the throne(s).

In terms of column inches and broadcast time, SIX THE MUSICAL reigned supreme at Edinburgh Fringe, where it finished its sold-out, extra-dates-added run at the Udderbelly today (27 August 2018). The show's hard-working PR Kevin Wilson was keeping track of the show's frenzied festival coverage throughout.
